Kenyans are back to their businesses after the just ended protracted electioneering period. The dust has settled; peace and tranquility have found their way back to our towns and streets.
It should baffle our consciousness as a people why some citizens had to lose their lives on behalf of politicians. Our country has peculiar political habit, mainly characterized by its short-lived hysteria, euphoria and volatility.
Raila Odinga will go down in history as a people's president who never was. He has so far acclaimed the position of a presidential candidate who has been defeated five times in Kenya's political history, and in each defeat, failed to accept the results.
In his usual orgies of political voodoo, the doyen of opposition has vowed to swear in himself as the people's president. However, this is laughable coming from a person who falsely presents himself as father of democracy. Is democracy existing only when he emerges the victor? What makes Raila Odinga fail to accept the fact that in a democratic competition, you can win or lose the contest and this outcome should be accepted by all contestants?
Let Raila swear himself to achieve his orgasm, a move that will neither have legal nor constitutional effect. It will be a wastage of time that will expose his real greed for power. His international standing will plummet and emerge as a villain. His current actions are driven by the depression and trauma he is undergoing following the defeats.
Odinga will be irrelevant in 2022 and thus he is trying to desperately use violent means to be in power, in disregard to the lives of Kenyans and peace in the country. He is a cornered mongrel.
The US has warned NASA on the swearing in voodoo and indicated that defiant individuals in the Coalition may face unspecified sanctions from President Donald Trump’s administration.
