People's Assemblies; Raila's epicenters for a planned revolution!

Vanquished NASA leader Raila Odinga is a man at crossroads. After having been misadvised by his legal team and pulled out of the repeat Poll, Odinga is in a political quagmire and struggling to remain relevant. He has now come up with a new movement, National Resistance Movement. He hopes this political ramshackle will make him fly to State House, oblivious of the existing constitutional and parliamentary procedures.

In reminiscence of the Egyptian revolution that brought down the regime of former president Husein Mubarak, the king of opposition politics is dreaming of overthrowing President elect Uhuru Kenyatta in the same fashion.

Raila's subversive approach

In his mischief, Odinga intents to form People's Assemblies  at County levels, where citizens will purportedly gather to discuss issues affecting this country, including constitutional amendments. However, it's not a secret that Raila is weighing the possibility of instigating people's fury against the government and launch revolution across the country; using the so called Assemblies as epicenters.

How long will these gatherings be sustained on empty stomachs? Where will the people get the energy to engage in idle conversations? Where are the legal and constitutional provisions for people's assemblies? Will county governments, Governors, Members of Parliament, Senators and other elected leaders in NASA strongholds stop engaging in productivity and development activities as mandated by the people but concentrate on coordinating idle talks to satisfy Raila's jingoism and his quest for power?

Raila's miscalculation cost him the presidency. His recent method of political approach erases his democratic credentials. The man doesn't believe in democracy where he is defeated. In all the elections he has participated, Odinga has never conceded defeat. He no longer believes in the same constitution that he vehemently and rigorously defended.

Agwambo is the greatest loser in our recent political history. His method is inapplicable in our Kenyan scenario and the People's Assemblies are dead on arrival at the counties.

Vanquished!
