OPEN LETTER TO GOVERNORS KINGI, JOHO AND SENATOR MADZAYO!

DEAR demented Coast leaders,

Greetings!

I will be brief and to the point.

You're regurgitating on the obnoxious talk on secession. Yes, it's a regurgitation because it doesn't start with you. Three score years ago, the Arabs under Mwambao United Front made up of descendants of subjects of Zanzibar Sultanate advocated for secession of the 10 mile coastal strip to join Zanzibar.

The matter hit a dead end following a report tabled by Mr Robertson during one of the Lancaster House Conference. The spirited fight to have Coast remain part of Kenya was led by our own son, Ronald Ngala, with unequivocal back up from Tom Mboya and Jomo Kenyatta. This was against a massive effort by Arabs who felt that joining Wanyikas as Kenyans was akin to becoming less humans.

Now having been jilted by ODM and pushed to the periphery, you are afraid of eating the humble pie by crossing  to Jubilee because you have constantly demonized the Party, spewed rage and planted the seeds of resentment on your followers towards the government. Stranded and fearing inevitable diminishing of your political careers by 2022, you're trying to use the secession shenanigan in order to remain relevant.

I have concerns as a resident of Coast:

1. I hear 8 Central region Governors  have formed a pact to revive the Nanyuki-Nairobi railway, using part of their county revenue allocation; but you people are talking about secession. Who bewitched you?

2. I hear 17 Governors from Rift Valley and Central have agreed to form a joint venture to revive the pyrethrum sector. But you people are talking about secession. Who bewitched you?

3. The cashewnut sector that can be an economic lifeline for the Coast people is on its knee. But you two Governors are twerking about secession. Who bewitched you?

4. The coconut cash crop is on its death bed in the region. But our leaders are talking about secession. Who bewitched you?

5. The  lucrative finishing industry in the region is yet to be fully exploited to boost the economy of the region. Bordering a vast ocean with treasures is lying underutilized,  you leaders are obsessed with secession. Who bewitched you?

Oh foolish Coast leaders, who injected the tranquilizers of ignorance into your political minds?

Mtwapa, vibrant tourist town has no single public toilet

Mombasa is a city rotting under stinking garbage, and floods immediately there is torrential rainfall.

Women in Kilifi still walk miles to get health services while Bamba is still being ravaged by hunger

Is secession a priority? Will it address the issues affecting the people?

Come back to your senses and stop misleading your followers with secession witchcraft.

Your concerned resident,

Tsomnyazi.
