Raila's plan for a civilian coup: A quest for a Nusu Mkate government.

The doyen of opposition, Raila Odinga is endangering the peace and stability of this nation. He is playing monkey business with the lives of Kenyans with his orgies of confrontational political antics.

Odinga is not new to violence. He was the prime architect of the failed bloody 1982 coup and after a brief stint in prison, he fled the country with the then Special Branch boss James Kanyotu hot on his trail.

Kanyotu almost caught up with him in the middle of Lake Victoria as Raila, dressed like a woman was heading to Uganda. He then proceeded to exile In Norway.

In the 2007, Raila was again at the centre of post election violence after his defeated Orange Democratic Party called for mass action. Over 1,300 Kenyans lost their lives and hundreds of thousands displaced.

After the Supreme Court nullified the just concluded election based on flimsy reasons, it seems that Raila is again on his evil destructive mission to ensure that the country is ungovernable. The leader of NASA now threatens to boycott the fresh polls.

What is his game plan?

First, by not participating, he fallaciously assume that the election will not take place and therefore, he hopes to create a constitutional crisis and demand to be included in a caretaker government. In this scenario, Raila will have successfully conducted a civilian coup.

Secondly, following his inclusion in a caretaker 'nusu mkate government, Raila will demand delayed polls with the hope of having a UN organized election to satisfy his political jingoism.

Way forward

Unbeknown to Agwambo, the election will go on without him and the winner sworn in as ordered by the Supreme. Odinga must obey the Court's verdict on the election timeline. As a contestant, he cannot dictate what the IEBC should and should not do.

The purported constitutional crisis he wishes to create is an imaginary fairytale. The constitution is silent on what happens after 31/10/2017.

If Raila and NASA do not want to participate in another election, President Uhuru can be sworn in as the President elect and continue serving his second term; as it will be a no contest scenario.

In the absence of swearing in, Article 142 of the constitution gives power for President Uhuru Kenyatta to remain in office long until another election is held.

That Raila is crossing the red line and is seemingly and deliberately creating instability, the government must act immediately and prevent this nation from descending into anarchy, all because of one man's greed, Raila Odinga.

The demonic intention of Raila to plunge the nation into chaos and perpetual political limbo must come to an end. He should exit the political scene in order for this country to heal, reconcile, end tribalism and violent political competition. Political violence is synonymous to the presence of Raila Odinga.
