It can now be revealed that the six member team appointed by IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati to oversee the coming snap poll in October are affiliated to Raila's ODM party. Details have emerged on how Chebukati could have succumbed to pressure from NASA leader Raila Odinga. More shocking is the revelation that Wafula Chebukati is himself a life member of the ODM party and has a very close friendship with some of the NASA principals.
Preceding the changes at IEBC that led to sidelining of the Commission's CEO Ezra Chiloba, Mr Chebukati met with Moses Wetangula on Monday, 4th September at about 9:40pm in undisclosed location. At the same time, Commissioner Rosalyne Akombe was holding a secrete meeting with George Kagoro on the same matter.
These meetings led to the unprecedented changes that included the following ODM affiliates to the team :
1. Marjan Hussein Marjan, the overall Coordinator was responsible for the receiving and accepting the fake and unsigned forms 34B at Bomas of Kenya during tallying.
2. Nancy Kariuki, who takes over as Head of logistics is alleged to be Hon. Moses Wetangula's girlfriend.
3. Albert Gogo, who takes over as the head of IT was the officer directly responsible for the Coast mess. Most of the fake and unsigned Forms 34B came from Coast region where he was the officer in charge. It's suspected that some IEBC officers could have been compromised by NASA politicians from the region. There was notable irregularities in Kisauni, Nyali and Likoni that can squarely be blamed on IEBC officers in charge.
Has Chebukati been compromised by Raila Odinga? Why did he accept to dance to the tunes of the NASA leader? Why did he exclude Ezra Chiloba before investigations are done to determine who is culpable for the election mess that the Supreme Court raised? Is Raila Odinga conducting an illegal civilian coup?
