Relaxed President Uhuru enjoys time with Jumbos.

As the election petition came to a close yesterday, President Uhuru Kenyatta and the First Lady were enjoying their time with a herd of elephants. The president, looking relaxed and not worrying about the events at the Supreme Court urged Kenyans to maintain peace as they wait for the Court's ruling.

In his Facebook page, President Uhuru posted:

'Sharing some moments with our magnificent national heritage as we await the conclusion of the judicial process. Keep the peace.'

This was accompanied by two beautiful snap shots of His Excellency the President and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta in the midst of a herd of Jumbos enjoying their bath in a waterhole

In contrast, a day before, Kenyans were treated to a live drama starring NASA leader and defeated presidential candidate Raila Odinga, in which he furiously exchanged words with police officers manning the Supreme Court gates. This was after Wetangula's armed bodyguard was refused entry into the premises. A visible angry Odinga, perhaps depressed by the humiliating defeat, was seen losing his tempers and engaging in an embarrassing fracas not in tandem with a person of his calibre. The said bodyguard has since been dismissed from the police service and taken to custody.

Meanwhile, Kenyans should continue with their normal lives eking for a living as there will be no rerun. There was no convincing evidence by NASA to prove that there was any deliberate interference of the electoral systems, alteration of figures or violation of the electoral laws by the IEBC and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The case filed by Odinga was a farce and it has revealed that NASA lead Counsel James Orengo is insignificantly overrated. His legal prowess hit rock bottom during the petition as he dwelt on too much suppositions and theorems that don't hold any water in such a high level case touching on presidential election. NASA rode on a dead horse in the hope of carrying them to an election rerun.
