Geopolitical odds; why Raila's presidency is a mirage

GLOBAL interests and geopolitical strategic position of Kenya doesn't favour Raila!

1. Fight against terrorism.  US,  UK, UN,  AU, France, Belgium,  China,   etc have heavily invested in the fight against Al shabaab through Amisom. Stability and peace in East,  central and the Horn of Africa are of paramount importance not only to the economies of the region,  but internationally as well. NASA wants KDF soldiers back home which doesn't go down well with the international community's agenda.

2. Chinese investments in Kenya. China has invested billions of dollars on projects completed and others are ongoing. NASA has criticized some of these projects and this  threatens the return of  the billions of dollars pumped by China into the Kenyan economy.

3. UK interests in Kenya. Britain has huge interests in Kenya including its citizens having invested in the country. The recent statements by NASA presidential candidate in regard to Laikipia Ranches jeopardizes his own chances of getting UK support .

4. Improved US-Kenya relation that led to the then President Obama coming to Kenya and publicly castigating the opposition spoke volumes.

5. The urgent call of President  Uhuru by  the exclusive G-7 club requiring him to attend their forum had more than meets the eye.  It was an endorsement of his presidency and his second term bid.

Take this to the bank!!
