The recently formed NASA's Pentagon is a political farce that has failed to trigger excitement created by its predecessor prior to the 2007 elections.
While the original 2007 ODM Pentagon was a reminisce of the 2002 euphoric desire to remove the then dictator Moi, NASA's Pentagon has failed to charge the masses. The following are the reasons:
1. Unlike a decade ago, the current Pentagon is composed of spent cartridges and tired 'ngukas'.
2. Current Pentagon aren't new to leadership and Kenyans already know their leadership styles.
3. Almost all have corruption tags hanging around their necks, Raila was mentioned in Triton, KKV and Molasses acquisition; Musalia Mudavadi was mentioned in Goldenberg and Cemetery land scandal; Wetangula was mentioned in Japanese embassy, etcetera. Was there any procedural process that officially cleared this wagon of Pentagon?
4. The new Pentagon is largely a Western orgy that has loosely incorporated the Kambas and the Kipsigis.
5. In wrongly forming Pentagon is based on leaders of political parties, it has failed the constitutional element of gender sensitivity. There is no woman, no youth, no disabled on the NASA top organ.
6. NASA Pentagon has marginalized Coast, North Eastern, Nairobi, Central and Upper Eastern in its formation.
These issues make NASA unappealing and it is moving nowhere. I still believe as I said before that the defeat will be resounding and by bigger margin than 2013.
NASA is wasting its time, unless it goes back to the drawing board.
