THE police must stop being used by politicians to harass innocent bloggers who just criticise their poor administration. A blogger has been arrested in Nyeri for allegedly insulting relatives of Governor Nderitu Gachagua.
Ms Martha Wanjiru Miano was arrested yesterday in Karatina after county officials, led by spokesman Jack Kabiru and the governor’s brother Rigathi Gachagua, reported the matter to police.
It was the most swift operations in the county, the 23-year-old blogger was arrested on Monday afternoon and by evening she had been taken to court; they rarely do such swift operations on criminals! She had only talked about misuse of county funds and abuse of office by the governor's brother!
Dear politicians, if you're criticized for poor administration, kindly prove otherwise by providing a factual response, not using police to intimidate critics.
The IG of police should check on the conduct of his men who are dancing to the tunes of politicians. Political intimidation is medieval.
